The Future's Bright in Girvan and South Carrick

A huge crowd turned out in Girvan to hear 42 community and youth groups pitch for funding.  The audience of over 200 residents were treated to music, laughter, fun presentations and an interactive voting system called PPvote.  As a result thirty three groups received full funding and two groups were partially funded.

On the day two pots of funding were distributed totaling £38,000
Pot 1: £18,000 (£9k from South Ayrshire Council, match funded by Scottish Government).  Twenty four groups pitched for this pot of which twenty groups were fully funded and one group was partially funded.

Pot 2: £20,000 ‘2 Kare for South Carrick’ distributed by Girvan Youth Trust (Source of funding Scottish Government Community Choices Fund).  Eighteen groups pitched for this pot of money thirteen received full funding and one group was partially funded.
