Green PB in Scotland
Green PB is a way for people to make direct decisions about how budgets are spent addressing climate change and reducing our carbon footprints.
A type of participatory budgeting (PB), Green PB can be about entire PB processes delivering green aims, or parts of PB process that make a climate impact.
Green PB is one way for us to achieve a Just Transition to Net Zero for Scotland, and supports more people to be involved in the decisions that affect them, their communities and the environment.
Recognising Green PB in Scotland
The Green PB Seal and Green PB Benefits Badge help recognise, identify and support green PB activity in Scotland.
Both the Seal and Benefits Badge show the positive impact participatory budgeting is having on Scotland’s drive to achieve a Just Transition to net-zero by 2045.
