Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government’s Community Choices Programme, the Tannahill Centre was awarded £32,000 to run a participatory budgeting (PB) programme with young people. £7,000 towards supporting young people to manage a PB process and £25,000 as a grant pot for community projects led by young people.

The local community held a fun packed PB event on Friday, 29th March 2019. Ahead of the Community Voting Day the group shared information from each of the projects looking for your vote!

The votes have been cast and the result are in! A total of £25,000 has been given out to seven community groups.

Those who were unsuccessful in securing funding at last week’s event will be offered advice and support over the coming weeks on how to access other funding opportunities.
