Dundee Carers Centre are looking for a new Development Worker to develop PB activity. The postholder will work with carers of all ages, disabled people, the Carers Centre, locality teams and the wider community to test a participatory budgeting approach in localities. Part of a team providing specialist support to the wider Carer Support Team to support and enable carers to effect change in their own lives, communities and services.
Key Duties:
To work in partnership with carers, disabled people and other community organisations in localities identified by the Team Leader, to create a process for deciding the priorities for the allocation of funds, how the funds will be used and monitor the activity fundedTo liaise closely with the Finance & Communication Teams at all stages in the design and implementation of the participatory budgeting process
To work with carers, disabled people and other community organisations in localities identified by the Team Leader to design a participatory budgeting approach and toolkit that can be utilised in all 8 localities in the City enabling locality teams to work together to implement participatory budgeting
