'PB TV' launch sees £200,000 for young people in Pollok

Young people of Greater Pollok have £200,000 to spend as part of Glasgow's Community Choices participatory budgeting (PB) process.

With the creation of a citizen's panel of young people and a new Facebook page called PB TV, local groups are now able to submit ideas that will benefit the local community. The voting event will take place on Friday 18th April at the Cineworld in Silverburn.

Voting will be open to young people both in person and online, with a live stream of the event also available.

This event is part of Glasgow City Council's wider PB programme, which sees 4 areas in Glasgow using PB around specific themes.

In Pollok, SWAMP, a local community development trust, has been working with the panel of young people to create web-based TV programmes to promote PB and the use of the Young Scot online voting tool.
