The Democratic Society have published a new report which provides a summary of learning around digital PB in Scotland since 2016.
The report shares a host of observations from their work and the wider programme, including:
Working together as part of a wider programme
The skills and development doing digital participation requires from local authorities and communities
The technology and platforms for digital participation
Sustainability for digital participatory budgeting
In the learning section, they outline findings and suggest solutions, concluding that the future direction of PB should be supported by a shift in approach, away from support on a project-by-project basis, towards a wider infrastructural support programme.
