People Powered is a new organisation to support participatory democracy across the globe.

People Powered’s mission is to expand people’s power to make government decisions, by supporting organisations and governments that are building participatory democracy around the world.

It aims to support those who are championing participatory budgeting, participatory policy-making, participatory planning, citizen assemblies, and other participatory democracy programs.

The website features lots information on PB and other participatory methods, as well as an extensive resources section which features hundreds of guides, tools and resources from across the globe.

SCDC Director Fiona Garven, which manages PB Scotland, is also a member of the new organisation’s board.

People Powered have also launched a new mentoring programme and published the Global PB Research Agenda.
