Participatory budgeting profiled in Ed Miliband podcast

The latest episode of the 'Reasons to Cheerful' podcast hosted by Ed Miliband MP and Geoff Lloyd has delved into how participatory budgeting is being used across the world, and Scotland, to give communities a say in the decision that affect them.

The episode features interviews with Shari Davies from the Participatory Budgeting Project in the US, Brazilian political scientist Rebecca Abers and PB Network's Jez Hall.

The podcast goes into the history of PB, but also explores how PB is progressing across Scotland, with mentions of mainstreaming and the 1% target, youth and schools PB, and North Ayrshire youth PB.
