Craigshill Community Choices – deadline extended for funding applications

A new pilot project is part of the wider development of participatory budgeting (PB) in West Lothian, led by West Lothian Community Choices. It aims to improve the overall wellbeing of individuals and families in Craigshill through addressing key issues facing the community.

£25,000 has now been allocated to address key issues arising from the pandemic, informed by a community survey about the impact of COVID-19, conducted by Transform Craigshill and SCDC.

Applications are being sought which focus on at least one of the following themes:

  • Digital Innovation, Inclusion & Connected Communities: Enabling and supporting local people to be involved in their communities in innovative ways

  • Poverty: Supporting individuals and families who are experiencing the negative effects of poverty

  • Community Collaboration: Working together to benefit the community

The funding process is open to constituted voluntary or community organisations and charities who can offer provision for the community of Craigshill and are able to demonstrate how the idea or project addresses at least one of the funding priorities.

The application process opened in March and the deadline for applications has now been extended to 29th April 2022.

More information and details on how to apply is available on the West Lothian Council website.
